Perspectives on Right-Wing Populism and the Media: Scholarship, Journalism, Civil Society
In the face of the rise of right-wing populism in a great number of countries, the role of traditional and new media in this development has increasingly gained attention. This workshop aims to bring together approaches to the relationship between populism and the media from different disciplines, research traditions, and cultural backgrounds. In addition to research presentations, scholars, journalists, and representatives of civil society organizations will discuss desiderata and practical implications of research on rightwing populism and the media.
