This workshop focuses on the potential of Synthetic Biology to drive significant advances in biomedicine and will address topics such as artificial genetic systems and the synthesis and evolution of novel, DNAlike polymers for applications in nanotechnology, material science and clinical settings, the production of artemisinin-based drugs used for the treatment of malaria; achievements in the development of HIV candidate vaccines by using synthetic biology tools.
