The Munich Exit Poll Study 2013
The Munich Exit Poll Study 2013 was the result of an ongoing research and teaching collaboration between the Political Science Department (Paul W. Thurner) and the Department of Statistics (Helmut Küchenhoff). More than 70 student pollsters were recruited, collecting more than 13,000 interviews at the occasion of the Federal Election and of the Bavarian Election 2013 on two consecutive Sundays in systematically selected districts in Munich. The study was awarded the Teaching Innovation Award 2013. This symposium provides selected results of the empirical analyses. At the center place of this meeting will be the statistical combination of survey data and aggregate data in order to estimate voter transitions with so-called hybrid models.
Teilnehmer sind u.a.: André Klima (LMU), Uta Thien-Seitz (Statistisches Amt München), Vertreter von infratest dimap, Mitglieder des Verbands der Städtestatistiker.
