Prof. Dr. Thorsten Grohsjean

Thorsten Grohsjean is Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Technology and an ICRIOS Fellow at Bocconi University in Milan.

He received his Ph.D. from LMU Munich. In his research he explores how individuals and groups overcome the challenges associated with the development of new knowledge, skills, and abilities. He thereby focuses on the selection of new ideas, employee mobility and problem solving as the main processes through which individuals develop their human capital and firms their knowledge base. The challenges in which he is interested include threats to identity, coordination and cognitive biases. Thorsten Grohsjean´s work has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, the Journal of World Business, and the International Journal of Industrial Organization.

Thorsten Grohsjean is a Visiting Fellow from June to July 2021 and member of the CAS Research Group "Platforms as Organizational Forms" of Prof. Dr. Tobias Kretschmer.
