Stacie Goddard ist Jane Bishop '51 Associate Professor für Politikwissenschaft am Wellesley College.

Von 2016 bis 2017 war sie American Council of Learned Societies Frederick Burkhardt Fellow und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin des Security Studies Program am Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Sie promovierte an der Columbia University und war Postdoc an der University of Southern California und an der Princeton University.

Stacie Goddards Forschung beschäftigt sich mit Kernfragen der internationalen Sicherheit, insbesondere der Erforschung von Ursachen und Verläufen von Kriegen. In ihrem Buch "Indivisible Territory and the Politics of Legitimacy: Jerusalem and Northern Ireland" (Cambridge University Press, 2009) hinterfragt sie, wie Territorien einen Status als unteilbar erlangen. Weitere wichtige Publikationen sind "Rhetoric, Legitimation, and Grand Strategy" (herausgegeben mit Ronald R. Krebs. Security Studies. 24 (1), Frühjahr 2015) und "When Right Makes Might: Rising Powers and World Order" (Cornell Studies in Security Affairs, 2018).

Stacie Goddard ist von Mai bis Juli 2019 als Visiting Fellow am CAS und gehört der CAS Research Group "Power Shifts and Institutional Change in International Institutions" von Prof. Dr. Bernhard Zangl an. Am 28. Mai wird sie zusammen mit Orfeo Fioretos einen Lunch Talk zum Thema "The Future of Global Order. Institutional Adjustments to Global Power Shifts" halten. Sie wird außerdem am Workshop "International Institutions in an Age of Global Power Shifts: Negotiating Change" am 27. und 28. Juni 2019 teilnehmen.
