Zsuzsa Gille ist Professorin für Soziologie an der University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Ihr wissenschaftliches Interesse richtet sich auf Fragen zu Raum und Umweltpolitik sowie die Soziologie des Essens in Verbindung mit Prozessen der Globalisierung. Zu ihren Publikationen zählen u.a.: "Global Ethnography: Forces, Connections and Imaginations in a Postmodern World" (2000) und "From the Cult of Waste to the Trash Heap of History: The Politics of Waste in Socialist and Postsocialist Hungary" (2007).
Zsuzsa Gille ist im August 2013 auf Einladung von Prof. Dr. Helmuth Trischler im Rahmen des CAS-Schwerpunkts "Abfall in Umwelt und Gesellschaft" in München.
