Psychologie

Dejan Draschkow is an Assistant Professor at Oxford’s Department of Experimental Psychology and is a member of the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity (Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging). He holds a Ph.D. from Goethe University Frankfurt.

Dejan’s research seeks to understand how cognition unfolds during naturalistic behavior. In particular, he is interested in how memories of different timescales form during natural tasks and, in turn, how they ultimately guide behavior. He is further interested in how we select and prioritize information within memory in service of ongoing behavior. His emphasis is on investigating these cognitive functions in ecologically valid and naturalistic behavior, using psychophysics, eye-tracking, EEG, and Virtual Reality.

He is a Visiting Fellow in July and August 2022 in the context of the CAS Research Group „Handling Visual Distraction" led by Prof. Dr. Hermann Müller.
