Prof. Erina Ytsma, Ph.D.

Erina Ytsma is Assistant Professor of Accounting at Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
Her research combines theory with rigorous empirical methods and novel data to study topics in organizational and labour economics, and the economics of digitization and innovation. She is particularly interested in incentive systems and the organization of work in the digital age and in the context of knowledge work and innovation.

Erina Ytsma is member of the CAS Research Group "Words to Numbers – Extracting Information from Unstructured Text" of Prof. Dr. Florian Englmaier and a Visiting Fellow at CAS from October to December 2022. On 17 November she gives a CAS Lunch Talk on "Effort and Selection Effects of Incentives for Knowledge Creation: Evidence from German Academia".
