Jenny Sorce ist Postdoktorandin im Bereich Kosmologie am "Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal, et Automatique de Lille" (CRIStAL), Universität Lille, und Gastforscherin am "Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale" (IAS), Universität Paris-Saclay, und am "Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik, Potsdam". Sie arbeitet an der Entwicklung der Instrumente und des Wissens, die für eine genaue Präzisionskosmologie erforderlich sind, um das kosmologische Standardmodell zu überprüfen.
Jenny Sorce ist auf Einladung von Dr. Klaus Dolag von Oktober bis November 2022 und Februar 2023 Visiting Fellow am CAS und wird sich der CAS Research Group "Complex Views and New Clues of the Universe" anschließen. Am 25. Oktober wird sie die Podiumsdiskussion "Die Zukunft der Astrophysik" moderieren.
