Oded Na‘aman, Ph.D.

Oded Na’aman is Postdoctoral Fellow at the Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He taught Philosophy and Literature at Stanford University Philosophy Department and was Postdoctoral Fellow at the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford. He received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Harvard University in 2015.

Oded Na’aman’s research focuses on the ethics and rationality of emotions. Among his forthcoming and recent publications are Emotions and Process Rationality (2020), The Rationality of Emotional Change: Toward a Process View (2019), and The Fitting Resolution of Anger (2020). In addition to his academic work, he publishes long form essays on politics, literature and art. Among them is The Checkpoint (2012), which was selected by the editors of Boston Review as one of twelve must-read essays of the last decade. He also published two books of fiction: Journal of Absence (Jerusalem, 2013) in English, and Limbo (Or Yehuda, 2018) in Hebrew.
