Prof. Dr. Jun.- Stephanie Marchal

Stephanie Marchal is Lichtenberg Professor at the Department of Art History at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
Her research focuses on French and German painting and sculpture of the 19th and 20th century, portraits and the self-portrayal of artists as well as on the social history of art and its institutions and also on art criticism.
Stephanie Marchal is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in March 2017 upon invitation from Dr. Daniela Stöppel (Junior Researcher in Residence).
