Alexander Knebe is Professor of Computational Cosmology at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.

He has been at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM) since 2009, first as a Ramon y Cajal Fellow, in 2014 he was appointed Associate Professor and since 2020 he has been Professor of Computational Cosmology there. Previous stations in his academic career were the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics in Potsdam, Swinburne University in Australia and Oxford University.

His research focuses on cosmology, galaxy formation and high-performance computing.

Alexander Knebe is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in May 2023 upon invitation of Prof. Dr. Klaus Dolag and will join the CAS Research Group on "Complex Views and New Clues of the Universe".
