Adolfo García is Director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Centre at the Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina.

He is also a Senior Atlantic Fellow at the Global Brain Health Institute at UC California and an Associate Researcher at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile.

His work focuses on the neural basis of language, including work on multilingualism, embodied cognition and linguistic biomarkers of neurodegeneration. He has published more than 200 papers, including articles in Brain, Neurology, Alzheimer's and Dementia, Movement Disorders and Cerebral Cortex. His milestones in science communication include a TED talk, the TV show "Of Brains and Words" and the video series "Language, Brain and Body". His contributions have been recognised by the Linguistic Association of Canada and the United States, the Argentine Association of Behavioral Science, the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires and Harvard's Ig Nobel awards. He is also co-founder of Include, a global network for cross-linguistic research on brain health, and creator of TELL, a speech testing app.
