Prof. Dr. Martin Melosi

Martin Melosi ist Professor für Geschichte an der University of Houston.

International bekannt ist Martin Melosi durch seine Arbeiten zu Umwelt-, Energie- und Urbanisierungsgeschichte. Er ist Herausgeber der "History of the Urban Environments Series of the University of Pittsburgh Press" und war Präsident der American Society for Enviromental History. Zu seinen bekanntesten Arbeiten zählen: "The Sanitary City: Urban Infrastructure in America from Colonial Times to the Present" (2000), "Garbage in the Cities: Refuse, Reform and the Environment" (2005) und "Energy Metropolis: An Environmental History of Houston and the Gulf Coast" (2007).

Martin Melosi ist im August 2013 auf Einladung von Prof. Dr. Helmuth Trischler im Rahmen des CAS-Schwerpunkts "Abfall in Umwelt und Gesellschaft" in München.
